Winter COVID-weekend and kind of a sunny weather - the best time for mini hiking without much planning. Start of the route Vývrat a bit behind Kuchyňa a short distance from Malacky. You can also start from Kuchyňa, if you want to extend it, less time was enough for us this time.

We parked half-way in the mud on the road and it was a harbinger of what waited for us almost all the way up and down. As usual in winter, sunny and warmer weather will just cause the hiking trail to turn into one of the obstacles on Spartan. The hike started quite slowly and we were in the woods since the start, so we left civilization behind early - as soon as we went around the dwelling, which could be best described as a modern ranch. No demanding walking until a few serpentines, where we first started to slide. One crazy cyclist flew down the slope next to us and it won't surprise anyone if I say that he didn't manage it without a fall. Fortunately, nothing serious and he went on, but unless you're Sagan, I don't recommend.

The worst section with regard to the acrobatic potential of the ground followed . It was still relatively fine going up, it was not very difficult. But as every hiker knows, similar terrain is the worst on the way down and we avoided the trodden path as much as we could. We didn't want to imitate the guys - world champions - who ran and jumped over the branches and ended up on their backsides.

We were already close to the first panoramic views, which are the one truly unique reward for hikers. In this case, nothing extra special, but when you mostly can't get out of Bratislava, it's like a paradise. Then we arrived to the zone, where the sidewalk had been quite icy for a change. The elevation was the largest in the final section, so we sweated a bit. On the top there was the promised view, breeze, sunshine, refreshments, next the way back. On such terrain, the journey down the slopes took longer than upwards.
We met quite a few people along the way. Everyone who is in favor of similar activities, took advantage of the better weather and I would say that every nice weekend weatherwise, it will be at least as popular.
Way up 2,9km, 475 m elevation, 75min.
